MRANTI appoints former MaGIC chief Ashran Ghazi as new CEO

MALAYSIAN Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) has appointed former MaGIC CEO Ashran Ghazi as its new chief executive, effective today.

Ashran, who also previously led Dattel Asia Group, will drive MRANTI’s efforts to accelerate technology commercialisation, strengthen MRANTI Park as a national innovation hub and leverage 5G, AI and other 4IR technologies.

MRANTI chairman Prof Dr Rofina Yasmin Othman said Ashran’s experience in innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship aligns with MRANTI’s mission to turn ideas into impact.

His appointment comes as Malaysia intensifies efforts to commercialise local tech and develop deeptech ventures.
