The project’s competitive advantage is its all-in-one AI-powered system with advanced imaging that provides objective and accurate skin analysis. It reduces reliance on subjective assessment and is designed for both clinical and at-home use, making it scalable and more accessible for continuous dermatology monitoring.

It addresses the limitations of conventional subjective skin assessments, which often rely on visual judgement and can vary between practitioners. It also helps overcome the uncertainty in evaluating skincare product effectiveness, where results are not always measurable or consistent. In addition, it improves accessibility to dermatology diagnosis by providing a more scalable and technology-driven solution for skin evaluation.

This system integrates mobile camera and microscopy imaging to capture detailed facial images, which are then analysed using AI. It can detect common skin conditions, measure pore density, and assess the skin’s ability to protect against UV exposure.

The project is an AI-driven dermatology system that combines advanced imaging technologies and AI to provide objective, data-driven skin analysis. It enables accurate detection of skin conditions, assessment of pore density and UV protection, and supports personalised treatment planning. The system also improves accessibility to dermatology care through a scalable solution suitable for both clinical and at-home use.
