Coastal and offshore areas are increasingly vulnerable to the impacts of strong wave actions, which can damage infrastructure, erode shorelines, and disrupt marine activities. Traditional fixed breakwaters are often expensive, environmentally intrusive, and time-consuming to install. There is a growing demand for flexible, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solutions that can provide effective wave attenuation without the drawbacks associated with conventional structures.

The H-Float system offers a floating alternative to traditional breakwaters, capable of reducing wave energy through its specially designed structure. Its modular design allows for scalability, with longer arrays providing enhanced attenuation effects. The system can be quickly deployed using barges and lifting equipment, making it suitable for both planned installations and emergency responses. Its construction utilises durable materials resistant to harsh marine conditions, ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance requirements.

The H-Float's innovation lies in its floating design, which allows it to adapt to varying sea conditions while maintaining its wave attenuation capabilities. The inclusion of GPS trackers and other safety features enhances its operational reliability. Unlike fixed structures, the H-Float can be relocated or reconfigured as needed, offering a level of flexibility not available with traditional breakwaters. Its environmentally conscious design minimises ecological disruption, aligning with sustainable development goals.
