Image recognition technology and algorithm for FFB detection and counting could improve the harvestingprocess. AI based system could benefit greatly if it could be integrated with IoT technology. However, height ofpalms and environmental conditions such as variations in intensity of light and humidity hampered efforts fordirect utilization of the technology in oil palm plantation.Current situation:- Most of the research and development efforts carried out are still in fundamental stages.
